Tawan Davis – Chief Investment Officer & President of Peebles Corporation

Tawan spearheads capital raising initiatives, directs developments, and implements strategy for The Peebles Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Davis led public private partnerships with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) in the administration of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. During that time, he analyzed, structured and executed high-profile transactions that brought nearly $1 billion to New York City’s coffers, created more than 5,000 jobs, and initiated several billion dollars in economic activity.
Born near Seattle, Wash., and raised in Oregon, Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in political economy from Georgetown University, a master’s in economics and sociology from Oxford University, England, and a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School.
Among other achievements, he repositioned a broad portfolio of Harlem sites, including the future home of a civil rights museum.
Davis, who describes himself as “a bit of a teacher,” is committed to helping young people prepare for a promising future. In addition to being an adjunct professor in real estate, finance and economics at New York University, he serves on the advisory board of the New Horizon’s Children’s Advocacy Corp.

Faith Taylor currently oversees Wyndham Worldwide Corporate Social Responsibility program’s policies and strategies which include sustainability, philanthropy, wellness, diversity, human rights, ethics and responsible sourcing.
The program is implemented across 40 hospitality brands, over 36,000 employees and over 100,000 locations in 100 countries. In 2006 she created the Wyndham Green program.
Under her leadership in 2014, Wyndham was ranked as one of the top 50 Greenest Companies in America by Newsweek and in 2014 and 2015 was recognized by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index as both World and North American leader in the Hotel, Resort and Cruise line sector.
CDP has recognized Wyndham as a leader in both performance and disclosure. In 2014, Wyndham Worldwide met its goal to reduce its carbon emissions by 20%, 6 years ahead of schedule. The program has saved over $65 million dollars in energy and water expenses and 27% of its $2.1 billion supply chain has met the Wyndham Green criteria.
She is the former Chair of the Sustainability Group of the World Travel & Tourism Council and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the USGBC of New Jersey. She is also a member of the International Tourism Partnership organizations where she has participated in setting industry standards like the Hotel Carbon Metric Initiative and policies used by over 20,000 hotels today. Wyndham is a recognized corporate leader working with the Clinton Global Initiative and the Obama Better Building Challenge in setting leading programs for the built environment. In 2014 the National Diversity Council named her “One of the Most Powerful Women in the Industry”.
She has an MBA from the Wharton business school and a BA from Stanford University. She is happily married to Gary Taylor, President of Newtek Business Credit and they have two children Jordan and Kiyomi.
Kimberly A. Harris – American Needs You
Kimberly Harris is the CEO of America Needs You. Kimberly was previously a founding member and secretary of the New York Needs You Governing Board.
Prior to joining America Needs You, Kimberly was an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she represented leading companies in a variety of industries in global mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other complex corporate transactions. In a pro bono capacity, Kimberly worked with clients on education reform initiatives, political asylum matters, child custody disputes and domestic violence cases. Additionally, at Skadden, she was actively involved with the summer associate committee, the diversity and inclusion department and recruiting. Skadden recognized Kimberly as an Outstanding Civic Leader in 2011 for her commitment to the firm and pro bono efforts.
Kimberly received a Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School in 2006 and in 2008 was recognized as an “Outstanding Alumnus” by Columbia’s Black Law Student Association. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration, with high distinction, from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2003, where she concentrated in Finance and Computer Information Systems. Kimberly is from Chicago, Illinois, where she attended public schools.

Daryl Shore is a Vice President within Global Philanthropy at JPMorgan Chase & Co, a global leader in corporate philanthropy with $200 million invested in communities annually. As Program Officer, he is responsible for managing a sophisticated, highly-visible housing and community development portfolio consisting of traditional grants and other flexible capital. Mr. Shore joined the firm in 2010.
He sits on the board of Gesu School, an independent school, pre-K to 8th grade, in one of the most marginalized neighborhoods of Philadelphia, as well as on the board of the Harlem Wellness Center, a nonprofit health and wellness center which supports life-long healthy living practices in Harlem, New York City. He also sits on the board of governors for National Housing Conference, which is dedicated to helping ensure safe, decent and affordable housing for all in America.
Prior to joining Global Philanthropy at JPMorgan Chase & Co, Mr. Shore held two previous roles in the firm’s Community Development Banking Group and Business Banking. Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Mr. Shore spent six years at Fannie Mae in various roles. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, a Master of Business Administration degree from Clark Atlanta University and a Master of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University.
